Data Retention & Deletion

Effective September 11, 2026

Active projects

Project records, uploaded files and generated reports are retained while the project remains in your account so that you can access, rerun and manage the project.

Deleting a project

When you confirm Delete Project, SlateGauge attempts to remove the project's uploaded files and generated report files from active storage and then delete the associated project record and dependent application records. Deletion may be blocked while an analysis is actively processing to avoid incomplete cleanup.

Operational records

Some limited records may need to be kept after project deletion for security, fraud prevention, debugging, accounting, legal compliance or dispute handling. These records should not be used to reconstruct or republish a deleted customer project except where legally necessary.

Backups and provider logs

Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups, system logs or third-party provider infrastructure until those systems rotate or expire the data under their own retention schedules. SlateGauge cannot promise instantaneous deletion from every backup copy or independent provider log.

Account information

Deleting a project does not automatically delete your SlateGauge account. Account information may be retained while your account remains active and as required for security, billing, legal or operational purposes.
